Awesome!” He said, punching his fist in the air. The movie had shown the eruption of the statue. Debris flew everywhere. The five-mile blast radius had obliterated everything in its mist. Nearby a conflagration had initiated.

The legendary battle between the Singapore’s female team and the China’s female team is about to tussle off in an epic battle to fight for the gold medal. Winning the medal will be an inevitable end to the medal drought Singapore has been facing for the past 48 years. Although people might rebuke the fact that Singapore could not win the “prevalent” in China, it is also good to win a Silver back.

The fledging beast stepped out of the cave. It winced slightly at the menacing sun rays. With a snap of its garnled fingers, it changed its appearance into a rustic tramp and proceded to town. When it met a rich person, it tried to wheedle some money out of her but to no avail. The beast thought of laying its claws on her but thought better of it. No need to alert the whole town. His skills he learned from a charlatan. Disappointed but still continuing on, he searched the town for a perfect partner.

Friends

As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together
And as our lives change
Come Whatever
We will still be
Friends Forever

                  -Graduation

                         Kayne West
Indeed, the song “Graduation” suggests that as we go on with our lives, we will still remember that
we will still be friends forever. A chinese saying is that when you are at home, you depend on your parents but when you in the open, away from home you must learn how to make friends. Friends make up a part of us. Without friends, your life would be a misery. They are a important part in your life as they help create interaction between you and the world.

Do not protect yourself by a fence, but rather by your friends. Indirectly, it means that you should come out of your private hiding corner to make friends. Sometimes when you are feel down and confused, you can express your feelings to your friends and they will give you solutions to solve your problems. Even when the going gets tough, you can face it with your friends instead of doing everything by yourself. Friendship can be maintained if both people put in the effort and are determined to make it last.

The fighter stared into his adversary‘s eyes, trying to predict the latter next moves. Suddenly a fist shot out. In mid-air it seemed to twist into a eagle-like claw that threatened to tear the adversary’s eyes if he was not fast enough. It was too late. The hand smashed against his eyes and the pathetic man started to edged back. The crowd stood up and with gusto sang the national anthem. The lithe fighter seemed to prance in the air as he dodged blows that would otherwise felled a horse. His foot lashed out and smashed against the jaw of his adversary. Before he could deliver the killing blow, the judge came and declared him the winner and champion of the muay thai competition. It was bliss!

The half-naked boy stumbled through the streets, his thin frame barely able to hold itself together. In one hand, he held an empty tin can. With an almost barely discernible cry,” Please! Please donate!” Every word he spoke caused him excruciating pain and yet he still cried out with his hoarse voice. A couple stopped beside him. His heart started reverberating against his chest. “Look at this malnutrioned, emaciated poor child.” The woman said. “Here, take a dollar and buy some bread for yourself.” Muttering infinite thanks, the boy crawled back to his remote corner of the city.

The skirmish had lasted for three years with no one having an advantage over the other. Early morning, there had been a fray between both of the nations. They quickly ousted the opponent out of their territory. Forthwith, they started building a monolithic fortress designed to withstand even the most destructive attacks.

The teacher stopped into the classroom with a look of fear. What new tricks would they play on the teacher? She had tolerated the class for a long time. Whish! Out of nowhere flew a plane. Like a guided missile, it landed onto a new pupil. The distraught boy immediately burst into tears. The culprit was quickly found out and admonished. In a loud voice, the teacher ordered the pupils to settle down. In response, paper balls flew all over the place. This was the ultimatum! Eliciting a question on who wanted to study, half the class left their seats.

I stood in the principal’s office, my hands clammy with fear. The principal bristled with rage as he pointed a trembling finger towards me. “You!” he clenched his teeth and stared daggers at me. “Your lackluster performance have been a disgrace to our school!” He reprimanded. In a tremulous voice, I tried to explain the source of the problem but he dismissed them as nonsense. “This is your last chance to show me you are not worthless and to prove to me that I am right to give you a second chance.” The principal said in a caustic tone. Then he dismissed me, leaving me to ponder my fate.

The irate shopkeeper shook the pickpocket once again. His piercing blue eyes seemed to intimidate even the dauntless captive. Finally, the pickpocket broke down. He swept the area with quick, furtive looks. Gesticulating widly, he began his tragic story about how he had to fend for himself and make a living. Reaching his hand into his pocket, the pickpocket implored not to be sent to jail. Reluctantly, the shopkeeper agreed. To the shopkeeper[‘s utmost surprise, the pickpocket pulled out a pistol. Gunshots pierced the air. Apparently, a hapless passer-by had tried to accost the pickpocket but was shot.
